St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas, Crete

St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas, overlooking Mirabello Bay, is a beautiful Cretan seafront resort with suites and villas. The resort is a 5 Star Diamond resort awarded by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. The resort is also a member of the prestigious marketing organisation, Small Luxury Hotels of the World and has 107 rooms total in different categories.

Of all the rooms and suites, I was lucky to stay in one with a private swimming pool. The rate of my suite is a lot more expensive than the lowest available room category, but during my site inspection, I saw one of their standard rooms, and it is up to a good standard as well. Besides the private swimming pool, my suite also had a flatscreen TV, bed, separate shower, jacuzzi tub and exclusive Molton Brown products.

St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas’ five stars are well deserved based on their facilities. There is both a spa, fitness centre and a beautiful infinity pool with stunning sea views. The staff are friendly, and I found the service to be very good. The internet is high-speed, and things work well here. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of food, and if you dine here, you might be able to experience a local show, like one that performed on the last night of my stay. Overall, I am happy to confirm St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas is well up to the standards of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and I can highly recommend it as a great place to stay in Crete.
