Palazzo Manfredi

Palazzo Manfredi is a new member of Relais & Châteaux centrally located in Rome in a beautiful 17th-century palace.
Palazzo Manfredi is a very small hotel with only 13 rooms and 2 suites. Further 5 apartments belongs to the hotel and are located 5 minutes as well. Due to an overbooking, I stayed the first half of my stay in one of their apartments which are comfortable, but not up to the high standard of rooms in the main hotel building. Their rooms and suites are really special, especially the Master Suite where I stayed for the last part of my stay. It had a comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub, specially designed sinks and stunning views of the Colosseum.
I would have to say the rooms and food is what makes Palazzo Manfredi a special experience, but the most important thing in a hotel is always the service. The staff impressed me, especially in the restaurant where it was very professional. Their Restaurant, Aroma, has received a 5-star Diamond award and is on a mission to get a Michelin star. I had lunch there and they definitely deserve a star. Great quality of ingredients, but as with the room the most memorable was the incredible views of Colosseum.
The bottom line is that Palazzo Manfredi is one of the best small hotels in Rome and a hotel I would love to return to. A fantastic addition to the Relais & Châteaux portfolio and a truly great experience overall.
My opinion: Great+ experience.
