La Reserva Rotana, Manacor

La Reserva Rotana is a stunning golf hotel located in the countryside outside the town of  Manacor on Mallorca. I just stayed for one night, but the hotel impressed me. I, first of all, liked the old school building when I arrived at the hotel, which creates a cosy atmosphere. My reason for selecting La Reserva Rotana was a high Booking.com score of 9.4 based on guest satisfaction, it is very high, and I arrived excited to see how good the hotel would turn out to be.

The friendly receptionist took time to talk before I got the key to the room. I stayed in a beautiful room with a classical design, comparable to many country hotels I’ve stayed in Europe, yet the design had similarities to some of the African safari camps I have stayed in. The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, a rain shower and complimentary high-speed internet access. I am not a golfer so I can’t say how great that is, but one thing I enjoyed was the outdoor swimming pool. Having a swim looking up at the sky in the evening was a real blessing which I really enjoyed.

If you are into fine dining, La Reserva Rotana has such one called Restaurante Rotana. I didn’t experience it, but you can read great things about the food on the internet. Although I only stayed a night the hotel impressed me with great service, cosy design and atmosphere and lovely outdoor areas including the swimming pool. A great and quiet choice on the lovely island of Mallorca.
