Lake Spa Hotel SEELEITEN, Caldaro

SEELEITEN Hotel is a 5-star wellness hotel located in Caldaro, South Tyrol, which is one of my favourite destinations in Europe. SEELEITEN has a prime location directly overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Caldaro and this family-run hotel offers an idyllic retreat for those seeking a great blend of high-quality wellness, comfort, food and service.

There are 70 rooms total at SEELEITEN, each individually designed with premium bedding and heated floors. My room had a very attractive design, a comfortable bed, a TV, a separate sitting area, a good shower and a bathtub on the balcony as a highlight. An impressive feature in an impressive hotel.

The facilities at SEELEITEN are another highlight of the stay with a lovely spa which includes saunas and an outdoor infinity pool.  The hotel restaurant serves delicious dishes showcasing the culinary traditions of South Tyrol. I made several special requests during my stay and the hotel did a good job.

Luxury meets agriculture at SEELEITEN with its unique farm-to-table concept. The hotel features its own agriculture with vineyards, apple orchards, and a famous local winery that includes a small craft brewery in the cellar. This combination is unique in Europe and attracts food lovers from around the world. Weekly tours, tastings, and gala evenings provide culinary delights and insights into winemaking, beer production, and South Tyrolean cuisine.

The service is great and professional at this hotel. The staff are good at their job by not only being professional and service minded, but also kind and open for a talk. At many 5-star hotels, it feels very different and I appreciated this informality. It’s easy to see why SEELEITEN Hotel has a very high guest satisfaction score. It’s a great, professional hotel in one of the best destinations in Europe.
