Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden

Located 1000 meters up in the Bavarian Alps, Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden has stunning scenery and a Booking.com guest satisfaction score of more than 9. This fancy 5-star hotel offers 138 rooms with comfy modern furniture and a Bavarian touch. I recently stayed at the hotel for two nights and was very impressed.

The first impressions were good. Welcome amenities and a handwritten welcome card in a very comfortable room which had a great bed, rain shower and a separate rain shower. The spa is lovely with excellent facilities. You might expect that of a chain hotel of this kind, but sometimes chain hotels don’t meet the expectations despite a lot of standards and policies.

Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is not an average chain hotel. Besides what I have written about so far, their breakfast was very impressive with a charge buffet and it’s open until noon on weekdays and 1 PM in weekends. Wow. It is something many hotels could learn from. Definitely a big plus. I would also compliment the hotel for offering two free postcards to be sent. Another little impressive detail. Leisure activities include cycling and hiking in some of the most beautiful sceneries of Europe, in my opinion

If you are looking for a gastronomic experience, you can have it at the hotel itself. Gourmet Restaurant PUR has two Michelin stars. I didn’t experience it, but I have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants and I am sure it would be a fantastic addition to an already impressive hotel experience. Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is a highly recommended hotel in a stunning location with a lot to experience.
