InterContinental Sydney

The InterContinental Sydney, housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century building, is a luxurious hotel offering panoramic views of Sydney Harbour. Guests can enjoy elegantly appointed rooms, fine dining, and top-notch amenities. With its prime location near iconic landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Garden, the InterContinental Sydney is an ideal hotel for fantastic experiences in Sydney, one of my favourite cities in the world.

My arrival experience: Quick check-in. Not escorted to the room.

What I liked the most: The location, breakfast and views. The service and facilities are up to InterContinental’s standards.

What about the food: One of the best breakfast buffets I have seen in any luxury hotel. It’s crowded, but the items in the buffet are of the highest quality, including organic Australian yoghurt.

What about the service: Top professional service from staff. Despite being a busy hotel, they also have time to talk and provide great service. Well done.

What about the rooms: The renovated contemporary rooms are comfortable and lovely. Soft beds and beautiful rooms are the highlights. The only downside is the shower located within the bathtub. If there isn’t enough space for both a bathtub and a separate shower, I would prefer a stand-alone shower.

Number of rooms: 509.

Type of property: City hotel.

Location: Sydney, Australia.

Facilities: Fitness centre, pool and business/meeting facilities.

Complimentary internet: Yes, and very fast.

My overall impression: Great.
