Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru offers a unique comfort experience amidst the natural beauty of the Maldives. Featuring overwater villas and beachfront accommodations, it provides a great blend of comfort and serenity. Guests enjoy great dining, a fantastic spa, and exciting activities, making it an ideal choice for a fantastic luxurious experience in the Maldives.

My arrival experience: Warm welcome from James, the marketing manager and other staff members. James served me a coconut as a welcome drink, and a South Korean lady escorted me to the villa.

What I liked the most: The overall experience. It is a world-class resort and one of the best in the Maldives.

What about the food: I found the food to be great compared to the general standard at Maldivian resorts. I am often disappointed with the food at Maldivian resorts, where many seem to focus on cost-saving instead of investing in what is necessary to impress the guests on that aspect of the staff as well. Four Seasons, Gili Lankanfushi and Soneva Fushi, are three properties that come to mind properties with great food. I highly recommend having breakfast at Blu instead of the buffet restaurant.

Blu has fresh a la carte options of high quality, and I especially liked the mushroom risotto I had for dinner. Blu’s Italian chef recently left the island, and the kitchen is now primarily run by Indians doing a great job.

What about the service: Excellent service and probably the best in the Maldives. I have chosen the word probably instead of definitely as the Maldivian resorts are a different kind of experiences. Gili Lankanfushi, Soneva Fushi and Six Senses Laamu is pretty much a butler-experience, while you at Four Seasons are more likely to experience a lot of different staff during your stay. I found the staff to be friendly, professional and well-trained as expected at a Four Seasons hotel,

What about my room: It is a beautiful villa with four seasons’ standards. I have slept in nearly 1,500 beds in my travels, and my bed at Landaa Giraavaru is probably the best. I at least can’t think of a better bed. The villa also had a large private swimming pool, flat screen Tv, sitting area, outdoor shower, indoor shower, a large bathtub for two people among other things. Just wonderful.

Number of rooms: 103.
Type of property: Resort.
Location: Maldives.
Facilities: Spa, gym, pool and business centre. The spa is one of the best in the world. The staff are better and more professional. I had treatment here in 2010 and again this time, and both were among the best I’ve had in my travels. Spa Director Sandie Johannesen has done a truly great job
Complimentary internet: Yes. The free version is around 1 MB per second in download speed, making it just fast enough for Skype calls or videos. The faster premium internet is available for a fee.

My overall impression: Fantastic experience. I love this resort and after 51 resorts in the Maldives, I am happy to conclude you pretty much get what you pay for including at Landaa Giraavaru.
