DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town – Upper Eastside

DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town – Upper Eastside is a 183-room hotel with excellent value in one of the world’s best cities to visit. Cape Town is fascinating with a lot of things to experience both within and close to the city. It is, in my opinion, the most beautiful city in the world, but it’s certainly not the cheapest. Although South Africa overall is a great value destination, Cape Town can be quite expensive, especially when it comes to great hotels.

DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town – Upper Eastside is not in the best location, but it is close to great attractions of the city and it has the best value in my opinion. I’ll try to explain why I think that is. First and foremost it is a chain hotel with standards. Hilton knows how to operate hotels and of all the hotels I stayed on this year’s trip to South Africa, it was one of the hotels with the best indoor climate. One of the rooms that felt the most comfortable with a good bed, an attractive design and a good bathroom with a nice shower.

The service is great here at the hotel with friendly staff at the front desk which helped me several times during my stay. The hotel has a 24-hour fitness centre, on-site restaurant, and complimentary warm DoubleTree cookies upon arrival. Overall, I highly recommend paying much less and staying here than paying a lot more for hotels of similar quality, for example, other chain hotels, in more central locations in Cape Town.
