Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City

Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City is a modern chain hotel, by the City Lodge Hotel Group, located in the bustling Waterfall City precinct in Midrand, South Africa.

My visit to South Africa was the first in over seven years and this hotel was the first hotel of the trip. I received a warm welcome at the reception before arriving at a very impressive room with lovely welcome amenities including droëwors, a South African speciality.

The room had a beautiful contemporary design with a wooden floor, a beautiful bathroom with a great rain shower, a TV, a separate sitting area, a small kitchen and a comfortable bed. I was very impressed with the quality of the housekeeping as the bed and towels didn’t have a chemical smell like I have experienced at many hotels including many high-end hotels.

The hotel’s location is within close walking distance of the Mall of Africa, one of the largest shopping centres on the continent. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options at the mall, in addition to the options at the hotel. The hotel also offers a fitness centre, an outdoor pool, and a cosy lounge area for relaxation.

The service at the hotel was very impressive with professional service-minded staff. This hotel has a high Booking.com guest satisfaction score of 8.8, which in my opinion, is very well deserved.
