Château de Jalesnes

Located in Pays de la Loire, Château de Jalesnes is a bit different than the other castle hotels I stayed at on a trip to France in 2017. Instead of being a place for great food, it is apartments making it more fit for longer stays than the usual night or two at gourmet castles. My experience started with a nice welcome from Jenny, followed by a site inspection of the property. They have done an excellent job with the rooms as they are easily comparable with many of the 5-star hotels I have stayed around the world. Comfortable bed, rain shower, separate bathtub, sitting area and flat-screen TV. All in an attractive design with a modern twist. I arrived late but had a chance to meet Michael and Jonathan, two of the owners in the morning for a talk about their property and my travels.
