Canopy by Hilton, Portland

Canopy by Hilton, Portland is a modern and stylish hotel located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. It was the first time I experienced the Canopy brand, which according to Hilton’s website at the time of writing this, has 43 properties in the portfolio. My reason for selecting the hotel was the combination of a great Booking.com satisfaction score and that it is a chain hotel. Chain hotels are just much safer options than independently run hotels in my opinion. Many high standards, especially when it comes to service, rooms and housekeeping.

One of the standout features of Canopy by Hilton, Portland is its central location. The hotel is just a short distance from many of Portland’s main attractions, including the Portland Art Museum, the Oregon Zoo, and the International Rose Test Garden. The hotel is also just a short drive from the city’s bustling downtown area, making it easy for guests to explore all that Portland has to offer.

The hotel features a range of on-site amenities, including a restaurant, a bar, and a fitness centre, making it a great place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The fitness centre was nice and modern with stunning city views, unlike many hotel fitness centres which tend to be boring and without views. I was impressed with the beautiful room I stayed in which had a beautiful contemporary design, comfortable bed, TV, sitting area, working desk and a stunning bathroom which you can see in one of the photos below. One of the photos also shows the beautiful city view from the room.

The public areas have a contemporary design as well and the hotel offers a great blend of contemporary style, comfort and convenience. I can highly recommend this hotel as an excellent choice for exploring Portland. It was actually better than many 5-star hotels I have stayed which yet again confirms that stars don’t matter much when it comes to hotels.
